Purbanchal University (PU) College of Law was established in 2075 B.S. as a Constituent College of Purbanchal University. PU College of Law fosters academic studies in the field of legal education in Nepal. The undergraduate Law course at PU College of Law is intended to give a thorough grounding in law principles.

 Purbanchal University realized the need to bridge the gap between grassroots-based activities and the university academia. There is an esteemed need for law activists who can take a leading role in the legal fraternity. To fulfill this need, PU established the College of Law to offer 5 years B.A.LLB.and 3 years LLB programs. From its inception, PU College of Law has opened a great opportunity for students who want to pursue their career in the legal field. Legal education in recent years has offered an immense opportunity in Nepal. Obtaining a Law degree at the University level can open doors to numerous prospects. A law degree not only gives students the skills to be successful lawyers but also motivates them to pursue multiple careers. This degree prepares students for any profession that requires intellectual strength combined with a practical approach. Law students have shown their potential as politicians, police officers, journalists, diplomats, managers, and social activists among others.

Teaching and mentoring take place side by side, in seminar- based classrooms that together reflect the remarkable range of the experienced faculties. We also host visiting scholars each year.
